Nurturing Environment
The Sycamore School provides a warm, secure and enriching environment for infants from 6 weeks of age through 12 months. There are special places for sleeping, playing, diapering and feeding. There are spaces and activities for growth with colorful toys and sturdy picture books to encourage each child’s development of reaching, grasping and eye tracking. The atmosphere is warm and cheerful, designed to stimulate physical and mental development. Each child has their own cozy crib and their formula and baby food are included in our rates.
Personal Interactions
Each child receives caring and personal interaction from the staff: hugging, singing, rocking and playing. Since every child is different they are encouraged to develop in their own special way. Each child’s schedule for sleeping, feeding and playing is responsive to their specific needs and stage of development. Infant’s activities are documented and you receive a daily My Day summary. You can also observe the logs of their feeding and diapering. The staff is chosen for their love of infants and receives on going training in infant care, nurturing and development.
