Republican leadership is likely to vote TODAY on a FY10 budget fix that is almost exactly like the one the Governor vetoed. The latest budget proposal to emerge at the legislature will cripple Arizona's financial stability and will erase all progress we've made to improve our quality of life. Please contact your state senator NOW and ask him/her to reject this irresponsible, partisan budget plan.
Here's the bottom line with this plan:
- kids will go without child care and health care;
- teachers will lose their jobs and classrooms will become more crowded;
- working parents and single parents will find it harder to pay their bills;
- individuals and the state government will face a dire financial future; and
- services that are the life-line for foster children and foster parents will be cut.
